The Research and Creative Works Conference is an academic venue for students to share their original work. Modeled after the format of national meetings of professional societies, it provides students with an opportunity to communicate their progress in independent projects. This experience will better prepare them for internships, advanced education, and the work place.
Students from every discipline are invited to participate and must have a required faculty endorsement to participate. Students are to submit work of significant quality (400- and 300-level courses) that may include an original research project (individually or as a group), a Senior thesis, a Capstone project, an analysis of literary work, refined research of an original study, or any other project that is original to the student. Submissions will be assigned to a symposium corresponding to the participant’s discipline. Each symposium will be provided with judges that will give critical feedback and offer suggestions to the participants.
